A live V2X digital twin of Barcelona

Mirall is a real-time digital twin of cooperative-ITS (C-ITS) traffic in Barcelona. Vehicles, buses, trucks and pedestrians move across a photorealistic 3D map of the city and exchange the same vehicle-to-everything (V2X) messages that connected road users send on real streets. Every actor broadcasts its position and heading, and the arcs drawn between them are the messages actually travelling over the air.

What you are looking at

Roadside units at the junctions publish signal timing and hazard warnings, so the twin shows both sides of the exchange: what the vehicles say, and what the infrastructure answers. Three kinds of V2X link are drawn between the actors.

A live panel tracks the health of the radio channel: how loaded it gets, how far the twin drifts from the simulation driving it, and how many road users are perceived but not directly seen.

Why it exists

Mirall runs on the same production C-ITS stack deployed on real roadside infrastructure. The point is fidelity: what works in the twin is meant to work on the street. It is one testbed in the SkyV2X family, alongside an open message decoder, a trust and PKI testbed, and a spec-strict edge service.
